Our Green Approach To Cleaning Can Help You Meet Your Environmental Targets

Water:

CLEAN AS NEW® uses Tech Sonic’s Green Technology, automated hydroblasting, and proprietary water treatment and recycling system to establish a new level of environmental responsibility.

Our process uses 95% less water in cleaning heat exchangers and parts at our facilities, and up to 75% less water when done on your wash pad.

This saves millions of gallons of water in a typical turnaround, and every gallon of water saved is one less gallon of wastewater generated.

Energy:

By providing our clients with heat exchangers and parts that are cleaned to "like new" performance levels, our clients save energy because of better heat transfer and lower liquid pumping costs. Saving energy means their process is more efficient.

  Implementation Of New Green Technology

Switching to CLEAN AS NEW® is a demonstration of your commitment to environmental sustainability.

By adopting a better cleaning process, plants can not only save $100’s M USD in energy costs but can simultaneously claim the benefits of a lower carbon footprint. Our modeling suggests that a mid-sized refinery could reduce its GHG emissions by over 250,000 tons - a reduction of between 10-15%.

An added benefit is water savings. Because we use 75% less high-pressure rinsing and recirculate the water we do use, removing the waste, our process reduces the total water consumption by over 95%. A typical heat exchanger, with all associated components, can use over 500,000 gallons of water to clean with hydroblasting alone, but in our facility, we have reduced that to less than 5000 gallons. For a medium-sized refinery, that could be a savings of over 100 million gallons of water per year - and that means 100 million gallons less wastewater to be treated.
